The Rich Joy of Sponsorship

The Rich Joy of Sponsorship

by Jeanette Perez,  Client Relations Coordinator

We are incredibly excited about what God has in store for Vallado over the next year. We look back with gratitude for the miracles we’ve already witnessed in the lives of our organization. This year we celebrated Vallado’s 10-year anniversary and we look forward to the beautiful work ahead of us. In light of our continuous growth and our desire to expand our current housing and bring in more at-risk children, we’ve added a new strategic position in Austin that will fuel our partnership development process and growing needs.

Relationships are the lifeblood of our work. We desire deep and rich and meaningful relationships with our staff, our partners, our volunteers, and our children. Our entire structure is founded on bringing on a team of people that share this belief. Our partners have been such an incredible blessing to us. We cherish their partnership. They are part of what makes Vallado feel like a family. When asked about the impact of sponsorship, many of our sponsors share similar sentiments. They are in awe of the relationships they have cultivated with the children over the years through letters and updates.

It usually happens in a predictable pattern: they sign up for a short-term trip and once there, they are so deeply moved by what they see they decide to sponsor a child. Every monthly contribution suddenly has a precious face attached to it, a story of redemption, and hope for the child and family members. Our sponsors have shared learning how to pray in a new way, for the well-being of our children but mostly for their salvation and daily exposure to the message of Jesus. Our sponsors bring hope for the redemption of spiritual brokenness at the core of our ministry.

We pray you understand our appreciation for your contribution.

We are currently needing a Director of Partnerships and Development position to be filled as our very own cherished staff member, Troy Robertson, has moved overseas where he and his beautiful family are undertaking a mission assignment. We are praying for their work in Belfast, Ireland.

Our prospective staff member is an individual whose faith foundation can bridge a gap between business and ministry. They will help us foster relationships that will help unfold God’s vision for Vallado. This individual is passionate about building strategic relationships and knows that God’s favor will take us into our next season.

Will you consider praying for our current and pressing need? We will be actively working towards filling this role this year. If you are reading this, the best thing we can ask for is your prayers. If you also know of someone who can fulfill this role, please contact us here and/or email us at info@thevalladoproject.com

Thank you for being a part of our family!
